OVAL CROCK POT WRAPPER ROLLER MACHINE

The Rival Corporation was coming out with a new crock pot.  It was in an oval shape.  They needed a way to form this oval shape into the outer decorative sleeve called the wrapper.  Because this wrapper was pre-painted, care must be taken not to mar the finish or painted design during the forming operation.

We chose to form the wrapper by power feeding it through a set of rolls and varying the rolls offset to form the various radius’s required.  The rolls and feed rate were controlled by servos and a part program.  Bends may be altered by means of thumb wheels and are used in production by the operators when changes are needed due to various metal thickness.

Machines are very user friendly.  Machines can be programmed to form rounds or ovals.

We built several of these machines and when Rival produced the oval steamer, we designed and built the machines for that wrapper also.
