ELECTRIC MOTOR SHADING BAND FUSER IN LINE 
AND ROTARY

We have designed and built shading band fusers for several electric motor manufacturers.  The use of plasma arc welders provide a superior weld as to band and consistency when compared to the TIG. Plasma also produces more welds per electrode sharpening.  All the machines feature automatic set up and weld coining for UL clearances.

The inline system incorporates the use of stepper motors and linear actuator’s to position the parts.  PLCs are used in their controls and air cylinders and control valves are performing many tasks.

Design benefits are less down time to sharpen electrodes, automatic set ups, consistent welds, higher output and less operators.
