Special carts were required that would hold a variety of diesel engines to aid in disassembly of diesel engines on a production basis.  The carts would require casters with brakes and be easily moved when loaded.  The carts were to incorporate an oil catch basin and a basket for removed parts storage.

The carts for engine assembly would have provisions for end bolting to the engine block and have the ability to rotate the engine axially.  These carts were to follow a “V” track down an assembly line and be easily pushed when loaded.  Brakes for casters were also required.

The engines were rotated by use of a gear box and hand crank.

Both designs required knowledge of center of gravity, heavy loads, safety concerns, toe guards around wheels and other concerns.  Working closely with the remanufacture provided them with a superior  product.
