AUTOMOTIVE TRANSMISSION TEAR DOWN TABLE

The need was to build a transmission tear down table that would raise the transmission from the floor to a normal working height.  The table would provide a drain to catch oil from the transmission parts that are placed on it.  Also a peg board would be provided at the rear above the table to hold gaskets and other parts.

A shelf under the table top is provided to hold tooling or other supplies.

This project required a design that provided light weight, easy shipping and low cost production.

The use of an air cylinder to raise the transmission makes use of most shops air supply.

This design was completed in 10 days, ready for production.
